CalCPA helps ease practice privilege regs.In recognition of the unintended consequences of its practice privilege implementation, the California Board of Accountancy took several recent actions to provide relief to out-of-state CPAs who have experienced difficulty complying with California's new law. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] At its March 17 meeting, the CBA voted to support CalCPA-sponsored legislation, AB 1868 (Bermudez), which now contains the provisions approved by the CBA. At press time, the bill was headed to the Assembly Committee on Appropriations.
