CalCPA CEO wins Lifetime Achievement Award. (CalCPA News).


CalCPA CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Susan B. Waters, CAE (1) (Computer-Aided Engineering) Software that analyzes designs which have been created in the computer or that have been created elsewhere and entered into the computer. , has won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The region contains the San Francisco Bay Area, the state capital, Sacramento; as well as the substantial natural beauty of the redwood forests, the northern  Society of Association Executives. The award is one of NCSAE's highest honors and is given only in years in which there is a candidate who stands above all others.

"Susan Waters is one of the most highly regarded association executives in the field today," says Kerry Parker, NCSAE vice president. "She is at the top of a successful career of achievement that has spanned nearly 30 years."

Waters began her career in 1974 as executive director of the Prince George's County, Md. Medical Society. She was executive director of the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  Medical Society from 1980-93. Waters left San Francisco to become executive director of the Massachusetts Bar Association from 1993-2000. Waters began her position as CalCPA CEO in July 2000.

Waters was the first woman to serve as president of the American Association of Medical Society Executives from 1988-89. And, she served as president of NCSAE from 1991-92.

Waters has been a fellow of the American Society of Association Executives The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is a non-profit professional organization for executive directors and executive vice presidents of professional societies both in the United States and abroad.  since 1989, and serves as chair of its Public Policy Committee. She served on ASAE's Board of Directors from 1992-98.
