CalAmp Announces Introduction of Next Generation Narrowband Wireless IP Router/Modem for Critical Data Communications.

OXNARD, Calif. -- CalAmp Corp. (NASDAQ:CAMP), a leading provider of wireless products, today announced the introduction of the ViPR[TM] Wireless IP Router/Modem. The ViPR[TM] enables true end-to-end wireless Ethernet connectivity over licensed spectrum in VHF or UHF frequencies for machine-to-machine (M2M) communications.

As the industry's first integrated end-to-end wireless Ethernet product for narrowband licensed spectrum, the ViPR[TM] overcomes limitations of traditional non-licensed spectrum devices such as range or susceptibility to interference and therefore is the ideal solution for SCADA, Telemetry and other critical data communication applications. Higher receive sensitivity in narrowband installations, data rates of up to 32 kbps over a 25 kHz channel and higher RF Transmit output power of up to 10W make it the perfect choice for industrial wireless Ethernet connectivity. The ViPR[TM] includes a web based interface for ease-of-use and ease-of-installation, and includes remote configuration capabilities.
