offer the one-week short course entitled "Polymers and Coating
Science" on February 18-22, 2008, in San Luis Obispo.
The course will cover many aspects of coating and polymer technologies including resin chemistry, pigments and fillers, nanoparticles, additives, coating application aspects, and rheology with emphasis on liquid coatings. Other coatings technologies (such as powder and UV coatings) will be discussed in order to compare and contrast with traditional liquid coatings. The short course will feature a mix of academic and industrial experts to provide an equal emphasis on both the fundamental and application aspects of a topic.
