Caroline Cahill and Dennis Russell Ballentine were united in marriage at six o'clock in the evening on Saturday June 25, 2005, at Paris-Yates Chapel in Oxford.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Drew Cahill of Jackson, Tennessee. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Timothy Cahill and the late Mrs. Christina Cahill of Galion, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Lucky of Magee.

The groom is the son of Dr. Michael Ballentine of Kansas City, Kansas Kansas City, Kansas (KCK) is the third largest city in the U.S. state of Kansas and the county seat of Wyandotte County (WyCo); it is part of the "Unified Government"[2] which also includes the cities of Bonner Springs and Edwardsville. , and Mrs. Patricia Hamblen of Jacksonville, Florida. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ballentine of Kansas City, Missouri Kansas City is the largest city in the state of Missouri. It encompasses parts of Jackson, Clay, Cass, and Platte counties and is the anchor city of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, the second largest in Missouri, which includes counties in both Missouri and Kansas. , and the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lynn of Tacoma, Washington.

The romance surrounding this couple was evident throughout their wedding, and sentimental details infused their day. The ambiance was set from the moment the groom proposed at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. The intimate ceremony was officiated by R. The bride's parents hosted a regal reception lit by over one hundred candles at the Oxford University Club, with entertainment by the Over-the-Hill Jazz Band. The wedding cake was a five-tier masterpiece featuring a custom-made bride and groom replica. The groom's cake was a classic tuxedo design, adorned with tuxedo strawberries. The bride and groom were surprised and honored when Colonel Reb arrived to dance with the bride.
