Caere Corporation's (NASDAQ:CAER) Imaging Products Group announced that it has selected the GammaGraphX (GGX) SeaBars(TM) bar code recognition engine as one of the components of its award winning 'Developer's Kit 2000' toolkit. The SeaBars engine enhances speed and accuracy of linear and 2D bar code recognition.

Caere's new Developer's Kit 2000 toolkit provides the document imaging industry with a "one-stop shop" solution for integrating multiple recognition technologies such as OCR, ICR, MICR (E13B), OMR and barcode recognition into applications. The Developer's Kit 2000 enables software developers, OEM's, systems integrators and VARs to quickly develop 32-bit applications which can include the SeaBars-powered ability to process bar codes wherever they appear in a scanned image or fax.
