Cadwalader Names Four Special Counsel in New York, Charlotte and Washington Offices.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 2003

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol , one of the world's leading international law firms, has named Kurt Bjorklund, George Chung, Erik Remmler and Charles Steele as Special Counsel to the firm.

In Charlotte, Kurt Bjorklund has joined the Firm's Financial Restructuring Department. Mr. Bjorklund provides advice to parties involved with financially distressed entities, and has represented debtors and creditors in non-bankruptcy workouts, pre-bankruptcy planning and Chapter 11 reorganizations. Also in Charlotte, George Chung has joined the Firm's Real Estate Department. Mr. Chung's practice is concentrated in the origination, purchase, and sale of real estate mortgage loans intended for securitization Securitization

Mr. Chung is a former Vice President and Counsel of First Nationwide Bank in New York, where he advised bankers in connection with all aspects of commercial and multi-family real estate loans. He received a J.D., cum laude, from the Pace University School of Law Pace University School of Law, known colloquially as "Pace Law School", is the law school of Pace University, a comprehensive, independent, and diversified university with campuses in New York City and Westchester County. , where he was a member of the Law Review, and a B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago.
