Ligtenberg will oversee all facets of Methodology Services business, including the development, delivery, marketing, sales, and all other business functions.  and A3 Ventures. Ligtenberg also founded Storm Technology, co-founded C-Cube, and served as the head of the Image Systems Group at AT&T Bell Laboratories. In 1989, he was the recipient of the Computer Architecture Chair at the University of Amsterdam.

Ligtenberg earned a doctoral degree in computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Lausanne and a master's of science degree in engineering from the Delft University of Technology Delft University of Technology, (Technische Universiteit Delft in Dutch) in Delft, the Netherlands, is the largest and most comprehensive technical university in the Netherlands, with over 13,000 students and 2,100 scientists (including 200 professors).  in the Netherlands.
