Cadence Design Systems authorizes additional common stock repurchase of up to 2,500,000 shares.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 1995--Cadence Design Systems, Inc., today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the Company to repurchase up to an additional 2,500,000 shares of common stock in open market, private, option or other transactions, from time to time and as market and business conditions warrant. No time limit has been set for this repurchase program. Since November 1990, the Company had previously approved repurchases of 20,200,000 shares, and to date the Company has repurchased or has option positions which may lead to future repurchase of approximately 18.6 million shares or warrants. The Company currently has approximately 36 million shares outstanding.
