SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 1999--

, Inc. (NYSE:CDN) announced today that its annual stockholder's meeting will be held on Thursday, July 1, 1999, at 10:00 a.m. (PDT).

The meeting will be located at Cadence's corporate headquarters in San Jose.

The Company's Proxy Statement, proxy cards, and Annual Report on Form 10-K will be mailed to all Cadence stockholders on or about May 25, 1999. The Cadence annual report to stockholders will be mailed in late June.

Mailing of the Company's annual report to stockholders was delayed primarily as a result of discussions with the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission on restatement of in-process research and development charges for certain previously completed acquisitions. These discussions were completed in early April 1999.

All Cadence stockholders are encouraged to attend the meeting in person and/or to participate in the stockholder's vote by completing and submitting a proxy card.
