Cade Industries' Auto-Air Composites subsidiary awarded $90,000 grant; research and development work in conceptual design for polymer composites.

(NASDAQ/NMS:CADE) which is engaged worldwide in the design, manufacture and repair and overhaul of high technology composite components for the aerospace and air transport industries, announced today that its Auto-Air Composites subsidiary in Lansing, in conjunction with Michigan State University Michigan State University, at East Lansing; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1855. It opened in 1857 as Michigan Agricultural College, the first state agricultural college.  has been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF NSF - National Science Foundation ) to pursue a three year effort in developing advanced computing computing - computer  tools to support the conceptual design process of converting metal assemblies into polymer composites.

John Scanlon, president of Auto-Air Composites, believes that this is a continuing example of the importance of interacting with universities to develop industry relevant research and development efforts. McDowell was born at "Cherry Grove," near Rockbridge County, Virginia, October 13, 1795.
