Macrovision Corporation (Nasdaq:MVSN), a world leader in Digital Rights Management technologies, announced today that its Globetrotter Software Division has signed a worldwide license agreement with Cadcentre Group plc for FLEXbill(TM), Globetrotter's 'Pay-Per-Use' licensing technology. This agreement enables Cadcentre to combine FLEXbill with its implementation of FLEXlm(R) to provide flexible `Pay- Per-Use' licensing options to Cadcentre customers worldwide. Cadcentre is an established and recognized leader in lifecycle engineering software solutions with more than 700 customers in 50 countries worldwide using in excess of 10,000 installed systems.

FLEXlm software has been deployed in over $40 billion of applications software from over 2,500 software developers in North America, Europe, and Japan. It provides the means for independent software vendors to ensure that their software users comply with agreed license terms and enables vendors to license their software under a wide variety of business models including subscription, shared license, and, in conjunction with FLEXbill, Pay-Per-Use.

FLEXbill provides authenticated summary usage data to software vendors from their participating customers. FLEXbill usage data enables pay-per-use billing and can be used to implement a new set of licensing policies more accurately matched to each customer's needs. FLEXbill data is automatically generated and authenticated, with Globetrotter serving as a trusted third party in the customer/vendor relationship.
