Cadbury Schweppes Plc.


As reported last week in F&DW, Mexico's monopolies watchdog confirmed it had objected to soft drinks giant Coca-Cola Co.'s planned $1.85-billion worldwide buyout of Cadbury Schweppes Plc brands. Competition authorities reasoned Coke "would be in a position that would allow it to exercise monopolistic practices."
