Cadbury Acquires Snapple.
We understand from reports that Cadbury Schweppes have bought the
soft drinks company Snapple Beverages Group from the US-based Triarc
Companies for [pound]1.03bn. The deal sees Cadbury taking control of the
Snapple tea, fruit drink and juice brand, who generate 98 percent of
their sales in the US and Canada. They will also gain the Mistic fruit
drink brand, Stewarts flavoured sodas, root beer labels and Royal Crown
Cola.
