Comparable store sales (sales for stores open at least one year or more) decreased 5% during the five week September 2001 period, as compared to the same period in 2000. Total sales for the five week period ended September 29, 2001 were $15.5 million as compared to $16.1 million, for the five week period in Fiscal 2000.

Total sales for the thirty-nine week period ended September 29, 2001 were $127.7 million, as compared to $122.7 for the comparable period ended September 30, 2000, which represents an increase of $5.0 million or 4%. Comparable store sales increased 2% during the thirty-nine week period, as compared to the same period in Fiscal 2000.

The Company also announced the opening of four new Cache stores and one Lillie Rubin stores during August and September at the following locations; Flatiron Crossing, Boulder, CO; The Shops at Willow Bend, Plano, TX; and Fashion District at Easton, Columbus, OH. The Company also opened a Cache store and a Lillie Rubin store at the new International Plaza,Tampa, FL.
