WOODBURY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24,, 1995--Cablevision Systems Corporation (CVC See CSC. : ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) A relational DBMS from Sybase that runs on Windows NT/2000, Linux and a variety of Unix platforms. ASE is a comprehensive and robust data management product with a long history dating back to the late 1980s. ) today announced that it will conduct a public offering of $300 million of its Series I Cumulative Convertible Exchangeable Preferred Stock Convertible exchangeable preferred stock

Convertible preferred stock that may be exchanged, at the issuer's option, into convertible bonds that have the same conversion features as the convertible preferred stock.
 and $250 million principal amount of its Senior Subordinated Notes due 2005. The proceeds from these two offerings will be used to reduce existing bank debt and for general corporate purposes.
