NSG 8100

The NSG 8100 is an innovative fully-integrated server gateway and a key component of a complete VOD transport solution. The NSG supports eight QAM (1) (Quality Assessment Measurement) A system used to measure and analyze voice transmission.

(2) (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) A modulation technique that employs both phase modulation (PM) and amplitude modulation (AM).
 channels in a single rack unit, making it the most compact edge QAM device in the industry. Its compact size and high bandwidth capacity significantly reduce the cost and complexity of deploying VOD. By driving down the cost per stream for delivering VOD, the NSG paves the way for wide-scale commercial deployment.

Standard features of the NSG include: processing of streams from multiple high capacity servers, multiplexing, program filtering, routing and multicasting, DVB scrambling, modulation and upconversion of eight QAM channels. The NSG supports ASI ASI,

 and IP over Gigabit Ethernet input interfaces. The IP interfaces optimize bandwidth utilization by making it possible for operators to multiplex sources from multiple media servers in both centralized and distributed VOD architectures.
