Solari was appointed general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is responsible for directing sales and managing operations at Cabletron's 15 offices throughout the region. Solari, a former president and chief executive officer of Zenith Data Systems Zenith Data Systems (ZDS) was a division of Zenith founded in 1979 after Zenith acquired Heathkit, who had, at that time, recently entered the personal computer market.
