Cabletron expands worldwide customer service and support programs.

: CS) today unveiled expanded service and support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services  for its worldwide customer base of over 70,000 customers.

The expansion includes a new support facility at its Rochester, N.H. headquarters and installation of a new global call tracking system used to increase efficiency in customer support services.

The new call tracking system allows technicians to configure customer networks instantaneously and address questions using data compiled from previous calls. The system provides more efficient call handling and overall customer service, with calls being answered and issues resolved 98.8 percent of the time on the first call. It also allows for data from the global customer database to be retrieved and shared by manufacturing, engineering and quality assurance groups to further increase a product's performance.

As part of increased customer support, Cabletron also recently announced a $1.2 million investment in a fleet of LANVAN mobile tractor-trailer networking showcases for customer support and education. The company has also unveiled the Executive Express, a fleet of vehicles to educate customers about advanced technologies and how Cabletron can help them continue enhancing the investment they have made in current technologies.
