Cabletron Appoints John Roese as Chief Technology Officer; Cabletron Continues Its Focus On Technology Leadership By Appointing Highly Respected Chief Technology Officer.

:CS) today announced the appointment of John Roese as chief technology officer (CTO (Chief Technical Officer) The executive responsible for the technical direction of an organization. Roese has been with Cabletron Systems since 1991, and moves to the role of CTO from his current position as senior director of systems engineering and chair of the Cabletron Systems technology council.

Roese began his career with Cabletron Systems in 1991, and has since worked extensively in the field of advanced switching technologies, as well as being the primary software architect for policy-based management solutions. Roese is also a published technology author, writing primarily on advanced-switched networking environments and advanced protocol control. In addition, he acts as an international technology lecturer.
