CableNET(R), Cable's Innovation Technology Showcase, Now Accepting Demo Proposals.


LOUISVILLE, Colo. -- CableNET[R], the cable industry's showcase of innovative services and technologies, will again be a featured exhibit at the industry's premier convention, The 2008 Cable Show, CableLabs[R] and the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA NCTA National Cable & Telecommunications Association (fka National Cable Television Association)

The 2008 Cable Show, to be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is a collection of buildings in New Orleans, Louisiana. The lower end of building one is located 500 m (1640 feet) upriver from Canal Street on the banks of the Mississippi River. Named after former mayor of New Orleans Ernest N.  in New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded  from May 18-20, 2008, is NCTA's 57th Annual Convention & International Exhibition.

CableNET is designed to highlight a wide variety of next-generation broadband services as well as technologies that cable operators are expected to deliver to consumers in the near term. Past CableNETs have showcased early generations of interoperable cable modems, voice over Internet Protocol See Internet and TCP/IP.

 (VoIP) and OpenCable Platform advanced interactive digital video technology prior to consumer market deployment. These technologies now serve as platforms for new businesses for cable operators.

CableLabs and NCTA provide a turnkey solution as part of this integrated showcase exhibit within an exhibit, so that participating companies are provided with the key logistics of their demonstration.
