CableLabs(R) Promotes Vang and Tritt.


LOUISVILLE, Colo. -- CableLabs(R) has announced that So Vang has been promoted to Vice President, Advanced Media Platforms, in the Advanced Platforms and Services (APS) Department. In addition, P. Margit Tritt, also an APS staffer, has been promoted to Director, OpenCable(TM) Hardware Specifications and Test Development.

Vang, who has worked at CableLabs for more than seven years, previously was Director, OpenCable Software. In his new capacity, Vang will expand his strategic role and will take on additional management responsibilities within the APS Group. Before joining CableLabs, Vang was a Senior Analyst for Thomson Consumer Electronics. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University Purdue University (pərdy`, -d`), main campus at West Lafayette, Ind.  with emphasis on Mathematics Theory and Algorithm Optimization.
