Cable Satisfaction International Inc. Service Units Increase by 58,966 or 47,2% Since the Beginning of 2001.

Cable Satisfaction International Inc. (TSE:CSQ.A.) ("Csii") announced today that the service units of its subsidiary, Cabovisao, increased by 58,966 since the beginning of the year, a 47.2% increase that brings the total number of service units to 183,841.

The addition of high-speed Internet access and telephony services contributed to the substantial increase in service units during the second quarter of 2001. Whether compared on an annual or quarterly basis, this increase demonstrates that our activities in Portugal are making significant progress.

"In the past year, the number of subscribers to high-speed Internet access grew to 16,426 from 1,542, while telephony has generated 13,897 new subscribers since its launch last November. During the last year, our dynamic team and broad range of products have helped us achieve noteworthy quarterly results. If you compare the second quarters of 2000 and 2001, you will see an increase of 230.9% in the number of homes passed and 175.9% in the number of service units," said Guy Laflamme, President and Chief Executive Officer.
