PayForView.com (OTCBB:PAYV) today announced that cable, satellite and pay-per-view programming veteran Sid Amira has joined the company to lead its efforts in the entertainment and pay-per-view arena.

Amira's three-year consulting contract calls for him to work closely with other management to create and execute the company's business plan, and to bring entrepreneurial leadership to the organization in order to move the business forward.

Amira has created and launched several pay-per-view programming ventures including EventTeleVision (ETV), a pay-per-view venture owned by TCI, Time Inc., Group W (now CBS), NewChannels, Telecable and Caesar's World, owner of several casino properties. ETV has evolved into Viewer's Choice, the largest distributor of pay-per-view in the United States today.

Pay-Per-View programming distributed by ETV includes several world class boxing events such as Thomas Hearns vs. Roberto Duran and Alexis Arguello vs. Aaron Pryor as well as special events such as The Battle Of The Sexes Part II featuring Bobby Riggs and Martina Navratilova.

Amira also created a second company, World Concerts, a joint venture of ABC, Paramount and Radiovision, that produced many acclaimed pay-per-view concerts including the Bob Dylan Thirtieth Anniversary Celebration at Madison Square Garden, the Rod Stewart Valentine Vagabond event and a Dire Straits concert out of France.

Amira's previous positions include chairman and CEO of PrimeTime 24, the nation's largest retransmitter of network signals to the home dish market; and senior vice president of Madison Square Garden Network, the nation's preeminent sports network offering New York Knicks, New York Rangers, and New York Yankee events.
