Cabbies on road to stroke.
The condition, which causes strokes and heart attacks, was found in 75 per cent of cab drivers, compared with just 25 per cent in the average middle-aged person.
The High Blood Pressure Foundation, who tested 50 drivers as part of Know Your Numbers Week, said poor diet and not enough exercise were also to blame.
Director Susan Inch said: "It is not surprising, given that 50 per cent of them admitted to not watching their salt intake. Too much salt raises blood pressure."
