CYCLISTS REV UP FOR CHARITY.

As many as 25,000 people are expected to gather today for Love Ride 13, an annual parade of motorcyclists ending in a festival, concert and trade show at Castaic Lake Castaic Lake is a lake on Castaic Creek formed by Castaic Dam, in northwestern Los Angeles County, California, near the town of Castaic. The 323,700 acre foot lake (399,000,000 m³) is the terminus of the West Branch of the California Aqueduct, though some comes from the 154 mi² .

 will act as the grand marshal, and other celebrities are expected to participate in the parade, which begins about 10 a.m. at Harley-Davidson of Glendale and continues on to the Castaic Lake Recreation Center.

At Castaic Lake, the bikers will be treated to a concert by Crosby, Stills, and Nash as well as a barbecue and trade show that has grown to attract 125 vendors. The Love Ride was organized by Oliver Shokuh, the owner of Harley-Davidson of Glendale, as a way for bikers to gain a more positive image within the community.

Registration for the ride is from 6 to 10 a.m. in Glendale, and all brands of motorcycles are welcome, as well as automobiles.

The parade up the Golden State Freeway The Golden State Freeway is a north-south freeway running through Kern County and Los Angeles County, California. Originally built as U.S. Highway 99, it was re-signed as Interstate 5 in 1964.  begins at 10 a.m., and the concert and barbecue are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The minimum contribution is $45.

Harley-Davidson of Glendale is located at 3717 San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. It starts off in Castaic as The Old Road, passing through Santa Clarita and the Newhall Pass, where upon its intersection with Sierra Highway near the junction of the Golden State (I-5) and the  between Los Feliz and Brand boulevards.
