Byline: Greg GREG Great Egg Harbor National Scenic and Recreational River (US National Park Service)  Botonis Staff Writer

PALMDALE - A Palmdale bicyclist was hospitalized and on life support after he was struck by a car.

Rogelio Lopez, 32, suffered critical head injuries when he was hit by a car driven by a 77-year-old Palmdale woman just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday on Avenue Q near 25th Street East, officials said.

``He was pretty much in the right area but there is some question as to how far out in the roadway he was,'' said Palmdale sheriff's station Traffic Deputy Jeff Perkins. ``It's all still under investigation.''

Fern St. Clair was driving west on Avenue Q at an unknown speed when her 1997 Pontiac Bonneville The Pontiac Bonneville was an automobile built by the Pontiac division of General Motors from 1958 to 2005.
