CYCLIST DIES OF INJURIES AFTER COLLISION WITH VAN.

A motorcyclist died Sunday morning when he ran into a van at the corner of Platt Avenue and Calvert Street in Woodland Hills, officials said.

Police said the man on a Suzuki motorcycle was headed north on Platt around 9:50 a.m.

Witnesses said he ran a red light at Calvert, hitting the van, which had been going west on Calvert, authorities said.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, and a man driving the Honda Odyssey van and a woman who was a passenger in the van were both hospitalized with injuries, officials said.
