True basketball Internet junkies already might have most of these bookmarked, but here's a way to catch up if you feel the 24-second clock ready to expire:

--BasketballFix.com, based in San Diego, is one place to start. The Web portal established in June 2000 has hundreds of links.

--The Basketball Highway (www.bbhighway.com), based in Arroyo Grande, has expanded to more than 10,000 Web pages and 4,000 links since Alan Lambert established it in 1995 as it tries to serve as a resource tool for coaches.

--The Full Court Press (www.fullcourt.com) is a subscription-based site edited by Clay Kallam that covers every aspect of women's basketball, from prep to pro.

--An e-zine known as Foul Shots (www.foulshots.com) covers a lot of the real news, but its best read is a link to stories like ``biggest floppers in NBA history'' and ``ugliest players in the NBA.''

--Trying to promote and preserve the history of African-American teams from 1900 to 1960, Dr. John Kline, a former standout at Wayne State who spent five years with the Harlem Globetrotters, has a site (www.blacklegendsbasketball.com) based in Michigan.

--Finally, an Internet auction on eBay.com for the Lakers' actual wood center court used at the Forum 1967-91 ends Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Item No. 1028656674 - the 224-square-foot center circle, which comes as seven sections measuring 4-by-8 feet each - had an opening bid of $100,000. The winning bid includes a private meeting with Magic Johnson and a game of one-on-one ``HORSE.''

The auction is in conjunction with SportsCardsPlus.com, which also has many pieces of memorabilia from former Minneapolis Lakers great George Mikan. Bidding also ends Wednesday on 15 Mikan items, including his 1959 Hall of Fame ring and his NBA's 50 Greatest Players ring and leather jacket.
