The House of Representatives is supposed to begin work this week on the Internet anti-gambling bill that easily passed through the Senate by a 90-10 vote last Thursday.

If it is signed into law by President Clinton later this year, it appears online fantasy sports leagues could be exempt as long as they can prove that the fees players pay to join aren't paid out as winnings.

As a result, the bill allows fantasy-league operators to charge a small ``administrative fee'' for running the sites.

Internet gambling sites in the U.S. will be theoretically shut down through filtering software to block customer access.

Anyone with information about a Babe Ruth autographed baseball that was stolen from Ted Williams' home in Florida about 25 years ago can e-mail Williams at his official Web site (http://www.hitter.com). Williams is offering a $10,000 reward. Williams' son, John-Henry, reports no new leads yet.
