A survey by Jupiter Communications reveals a ``growing synergy'' between TV and the Internet, and the NFL is to blame.

The most dual-user situations seem to come Sundays. That's when NFL fantasy-league players jump online during commercials in the TV games to check on their players as well as their opponents.

Fantasy Sports Publications (http://www.fspnet.com) estimates there are eight million fantasy players with Net access. A story in the Wall Street Journal reports that if the trend continues, some advertisers will rethink which medium to spend their money on.

The American Roller Derby League keeps its Web address at the home of the Bay City Bombers (http://www.baycitybombers.com/), who are just tickled by the fact that the 1998 championships will be held on their home asphalt, San Francisco's Kezar Pavilion, on Dec. 5.

The Bombers will compete against the league's other two teams, the New York Demons and the Orlando Thunder.

We hear there's also a team called the Los Angeles Turbos, but no luck finding anything about this enigma on any of the search engines we tried . . .

Some of the coolest Zamboni-approved items have been hot sellers at the Zamboni Web site (http://www.zamboni.com). More than 40 items are available, including some very stylish ``Z'' logo hats ($11.99 to $16), denim diaper covers that say ``When I grow up, I wanna drive the Zamboni'' ($4.99) and the mandatory license-plate frame that reads ``My Other Car is a Zamboni'' ($5.50). Flutie Flakes, flying off the shelves so fast that some Buffalo supermarkets have put them behind the service desk and limited them to two boxes per slobbering customer, have been made available at the pro-shop page on the Buffalo Bills' Web site (http://www.buffalobills.com).

At $4 plus shipping and handling, each box is twice the store price, but you know some collector in Boston will have them going for $25 three years from when you really want one.

And Roger Clemens says he is disappointed with the Toronto Blue Jays' lack of effort in deciding on a direction for the team. But the only way the team would know that is if club officials read the interview that was posted Friday on the pitcher's Web site (www.rocketroger.com).

Clemens says he hasn't had any official contact with Blue Jays officials since the season ended. Why, because none of them have e-mail addresses?
