HOTBackup(TM), the Engine of its CYA Command Console(TM) Suite,

CYA Technologies, the leading provider of application-aware business continuity software products, today announced that its flagship product, CYA HOTBackup, is now available for use with Sybase's relational database management system (RDBMS) Adaptive Server Enterprise. Sybase Inc. (NYSE:SY) is a leading provider of open-architecture enterprise infrastructure software, including databases, development tools, integration middleware, enterprise portals, and mobile and wireless servers.

CYA HOTBackup is a unique technology that backs up enterprise applications at the object level. Currently available for Documentum, CYA HOTBackup performs incremental hot backups of a client's repository without requiring application downtime. In addition to full application restores, CYA HOTBackup provides the unique ability to restore individual objects (e.g., a document in a workflow) to a system, with all related information intact. CYA HOTBackup is a key business continuity technology because it permits a business process to be backed up and, if necessary, restored, without incurring downtime in addition to performing data integrity checking during the backup.
