CVI Announces a New Anamorphic Prism Pair for Use in the Ultraviolet.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- CVI announced today that it has added an ultraviolet anamorphic prism pair to its extensive beam expander product line. The new APUV UV Anamorphic Prism Pair is manufactured from AR coated UV grade fused silica prisms.

CVI's AP and APUV anamorphic prism pairs reshape the elliptical beam inherently produced by the asymmetric radiation pattern of excimer and diode lasers. A near circular beam can be attained by properly aligning a pair of identical wedge prisms to the appropriate magnification ratio.
