CVI Announces New 45 Degree Thin Film Plate Polarizer Product.ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- CVI announced today that it has introduced a new thin film plate polarizer designed to work at 45 degrees. The TFPN thin film plate polarizer works at 45x so the reflected and transmitted beams are separated by 90x and orthogonally polarized, just like a cube polarizer. It can be used as either a beamsplitter or beam combiner without angle tuning or complicated alignments. The dielectric coating is durable and dense so there is no wavelength shifting, and it can be done at any VIS-NIR wavelength. "This is a great improvement as customers can now gain the advantages of a cube polarizer for their optical layouts, but in the smaller footprint of a plate polarizer," states Emily Kubacki, Optics Product Manager. Serving semiconductor, biotech, industrial, commercial and research industries, CVI combines 30 years of optics manufacturing expertise with precision machining and mechanical design to produce integrated opto-mechanical assemblies. CVI is a leading manufacturer of optical components, providing engineering, rapid prototype delivery, high volume production, and system integration for challenging optical requirements.
