announced today that it has introduced a new line of high energy optical isolators.

This alternative to a Faraday faraday /far·a·day/ (F ) (far´ah-da) the electric charge carried by one mole of electrons or one equivalent weight of ions, equal to 9.649 × 104coulombs.

cube and a multiple-order quarter waveplate. The assembly is easily mounted and can be used for both UV and high energy VIS-NIR lasers with pulse energies as high as 5J/cm2. Optical isolators transmit polarized light in one direction and block polarized light in the reverse direction, thus eliminating optical feedback which causes amplitude fluctuation, frequency shift and noise.

"This addition to our passive isolator product line is an excellent opportunity for CVI to provide a cost-effective solution to our customers who work throughout the UV, visible and NIR NIR Near Infrared
