CVI Announces Additions to Its Achromatic Waveplate Product Line.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- CVI announced today that it has introduced a 12mm clear aperture achromatic waveplate. As an addition to the current 22mm clear aperture ACWP product line, a smaller size option has been added which has a 12mm clear aperture and 1" outer diameter ring. Quarter and half wave retarders are available in three standard wavelength ranges from 400nm to 1600nm.

"Achromatic waveplates have a broader bandwidth than zero-order quartz waveplates and a higher damage threshold than polymer retarders. They are ideal for use with broadband femtosecond lasers and in astronomy, polarimetry, spectrophotometry and OPOs," states Emily Kubacki, CVI Optics Product Manager.
