Corporation (CCGC CCGC Canadian Coast Guard College

) today announced its first quarter results for the three months ended March 31, 1995.

Revenues for the 1995 three-month period increased 14 percent to $1.57 million compared with $1.38 million for the same period in 1994. Net earnings for the quarter were $81,000, or $0.01 on a per share basis, unchanged from the 1994 period.

"Revenues increased satisfactorily during the first quarter in light of some disruptions incurred during manufacturing as a result of the implementation of our new dedicated cell approach," said CCGC President and Chief Executive Officer, Dan Heffernan. "Net earnings remained unchanged compared with last year's because of a somewhat higher cost of sales attributable to a short-term increase in materials cost, the expenses associated with bringing on-stream higher production capacity, and manufacturing equipment maintenance. Additional expenses include higher administrative expenses associated with our new office. Currently, CCGC employs 92 people compared with approximately 70 a year ago.

"While we estimate that the second quarter will be similar to the first, the outlook for the second half of the year is for significantly increased sales and earnings as we continue the successive roll out of our new dedicated manufacturing cells and substantially increase our throughput," Mr. Heffernan added.
