CASTAIC LAKE -- A couple of bombshells were dropped at Castaic Lake on Thursday but don't worry: They're blondes.

Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards are starring in a madcap mistaken-identity romp expected to wrap shooting today.

``We had about five fishermen here. We had to ask them to kind of leave because the helicopter was going to fly right over them, and we had to make sure they weren't in the shot,'' said Natasha Giraldo, the production's location manager. ``I love the lifeguards. They've been wonderful to our crew.''

In the film, ``Blonde and Blonder,'' due to be released later this year, Anderson as Dee and Richards as Dawn are mistaken for international mob killers.

Co-star Emmanuelle Vaugier appeared as Mia in several episodes of ``Two and a Half Men,'' the CBS series starring Richards' former husband Charlie Sheen.

A hovering helicopter captured a chase scene with boats -- some occupied by lake lifeguards who were very much wanted on camera. One longtime lifeguard just went about his business.

``It's just another day at the lake,'' said Ralph Searcy, a supervising lifeguard who has minded the waterway for 25 years. Searcy fondly recalled wondrous fireworks detonated for the 1995 film ``Three Wishes,'' starring Patrick Swayze, and thought he recognized the ``Blonde'' whirlybird from filming at the lake about a year ago for ``Fear Factor,'' the reality game-dare show.

The west boat ramp occupied by Canadian and Los Angeles film crews was closed to the public, but otherwise the popular recreation area remained open.

There was also filming at the lake Thursday for another feature film, ``Meteor.''
