CURTCO MEDIA LABS & TD CAPITAL COMM. FORM PARTNERSHIP FOR ACQUISITION.

) to acquire consumer titles Robb Report The Robb Report is a magazine about luxury life, featuring products of the lifestyle, such as cars, watches, and real estate. It was originally started by Robert White as a magazine to complement the purchase of a Rolls-Royce automobile.  and Showcase magazines from Luxury Media Corp. (Acton, MA) for an estimated $25 million.

Curtis, former head of CurtCo Co. and CurtCo Freedom, among other operations, said the deal was the "first step" of a plan to leverage the Robb Report market brand and to launch specialized publications in any number of related, high-end consumer markets, including cars, boats and investment opportunities. The Robb Report was established in 1972 and is published monthly with a mixed circulation of about 45,000.

CurtCo Media Labs also operates Malibu Studios, a Web site development group, and CurtCo Internet Broadcast Network (CIBN), a streaming audio A one-way audio transmission over a data network. It is widely used on the Web as well as company networks to play audio clips and Internet radio.
