CUPA-HR Appoints Datatel to Sit on Corporate Advisory Council; Tracy Williams to Serve on Knowledge Advisory Committee.


FAIRFAX, Va. -- Datatel, Inc. today announced that Tracy Williams Tracy Williams is an American singer who belongs to UC3, an all female trio from Tampa Bay, Florida. She has performed throughout the U.S. and overseas in several countries with UC3 for U.S. military personnel. , Datatel HR Solutions Product Manager, has been appointed to the Corporate Advisory Council of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees.  (CUPA-HR CUPA-HR College and University Professional Association for Human Resources ). Her nomination was approved by the Association's National Board of Directors on November 13, 2004.

The Corporate Advisory Council is charged with providing guidance to CUPA-HR on fostering beneficial relationships, and building corporate support for the organization's initiatives within the business community at the national, regional, and chapter levels. In addition, the Council supports the educational and professional development of college and university human resource professionals, and helps promote the development and dissemination of best practices in college and university human resource administration.

The Council consists of 6 - 10 senior-level Corporate Partner Representatives, the CUPA-HR president, CUPA-HR president-elect, one regional director, and one member representative at-large.

Ms. Williams will serve a two-year term on the Knowledge Center Committee, which is led by Pat Day of Johns Hopkins University Johns Hopkins University, mainly at Baltimore, Md. Johns Hopkins in 1867 had a group of his associates incorporated as the trustees of a university and a hospital, endowing each with $3.5 million. The Committee reviews products, services, and approaches that may provide enhanced benefits to CUPA-HR members. In addition to her role on the Committee, Ms. Williams will continue working with CUPA-HR to promote the development of new state chapters.

Prior to joining Datatel, Ms. Williams was the Associate HR Director at Marymount University Marymount University is a coeducational, four-year Catholic university whose main campus is located in Arlington, Virginia. History
Marymount was founded in 1950 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) as Marymount College, a two-year women's school.
 in Arlington, VA. She has also held several HR management positions in the private sector. She holds an M.A. in Human Resource Management from Marymount University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Indiana State University Indiana State University, main campus at Terre Haute; coeducational; est. 1865 as a normal school, became Indiana State Teachers College in 1929, gained university status in 1965. There is also a campus at Evansville (opened 1965). .
