:CU) announced today the appointment of Kenneth Williams Kenneth Charles Williams (22 February 1926 – 15 April 1988) was an English comic actor, star of twenty six Carry On films and notable radio comedies with Tony Hancock and Kenneth Horne, as well as a witty raconteur on a wide range of subjects. , president and chief executive officer of Sierra On-Line Inc., to vice chairman and a member of the office of the president.

Ken Williams co-founded Sierra On-Line with his wife Roberta in 1980. Headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., Sierra On-Line has grown into a leading designer and publisher of entertainment software with operations in both the United States and France. According to the June 1996 PC Data report, Sierra On-Line is ranked No. 1 in the entertainment software industry with a 9.6% market share in units sold.

Prior to founding Sierra On-Line, Williams worked for over eight years in the technology industry for companies such as Infomatics, Warner Brothers, Bekins, and Financial Decisions Systems. Williams lives with his wife, Roberta, and their two children in the Puget Sound area of Washington. His hobbies include boating, reading, bicycle riding and racquetball racquetball, sport played indoors by two or four players, combining elements of court handball and such racket games as squash racquets.
