CTS Corporation Names Donald R. Schroeder Vice President Business Development and Chief Technology Officer.

ELKHART, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 2000

Donald R. Schroeder has been named Vice President Business Development and Chief Technology Officer of CTS (1) (Clear To Send) The RS-232 signal sent from the receiving station to the transmitting station that indicates it is ready to accept data. Contrast with RTS.

 Corporation according to an announcement today by Joseph P. Walker, CTS Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Schroeder has served as Vice President Sales and Marketing for CTS since 1995. In his new capacity, he will manage and direct CTS Corporation in implementing and achieving its technology objectives based on long-term product and profitability goals; will develop Company-wide strategic business plans to achieve Corporate objectives for products and services; and will work with CTS sales, marketing and product development to discern the competitiveness of new technologies. Additionally, Schroeder will manage CTS Corporate Research, Development and Engineering, with responsibility for the department's overall direction; and will play a key role in the planning, directing, investigation and negotiation of mergers, joint ventures and acquisitions for the Corporation.

Schroeder is a 1971 graduate of the University of Wisconsin where he received his B.S. degree in Chemistry. He earned an M.S. in Chemistry and Physics from Iowa State University Academics

The population was 28,778 at the 2000 census. , as Assistant General Manager and later served as General Manager. He was named Business Development Manager for CTS Microelectronics, in 1989, where he was involved in securing proprietary license agreements on behalf of CTS Corporation as well as investigating potential CTS acquisitions.
