CTS Corporation's Interconnect Systems Business, Hudson, New Hampshire, Awarded ISO 9001 Accreditation.

ELKHART, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 1999--

CTS Corporation announced today that its Interconnect System's Hudson, New Hampshire manufacturing operation, has received ISO 9001 quality management Certificate No. FM10803 from the British Standards Institution, London, England, for the design and manufacture of press-fit backplane assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies and box level electronic finished goods.

Since startup only 18 months ago, the CTS New Hampshire interconnect systems manufacturing facility has developed several new turnkey assembly opportunities, added surface mount assembly equipment and expanded its initial 12,000 sq.ft. manufacturing site to over 40,000 sq.ft. The CTS Interconnect Systems, Hudson, N.H., manufacturing plant is a sister facility to CTS' Interconnect Systems, Blantyre, Scotland operation. CTS Interconnect Systems serve major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the communications and computer equipment markets throughout the world.

The British Standard Institution (BSI) was instrumental in establishing ISO 9000 as the world's primary quality system standard, and is today considered a world authority on management systems. The BSI was founded in 1901 to facilitate the development of national standards and, in 1929, was incorporated by Royal Charter.
