:CTS) today announced that it has opened a new manufacturing operation in Zhongshan, located in the Guangdong Province Noun 1. Guangdong province - a province in southern China

 of China. The new facility will be used for production of various automotive products and electronic components and sensors. Production is planned to begin in the second quarter of 2007.

The new facility, which includes room for expansion, was necessitated by rapid sales growth in the region. It will replace CTS' smaller manufacturing operation in nearby Dongguan.

According to Tyler Buchanan, Senior Vice President, CTS Corporation, "Our Asian automotive sales are projected to grow from $16 million in 2005 to approximately $70 million in 2010. Expansion of our manufacturing presence to Zhongshan will better serve our Asian automotive and electrocomponents customers in a rapidly growing market."
