CTO orders action tinted glass vehicles.

RAWALPINDI, October 13, 2009 (Balochistan Times): City Traffic Police Rawalpindi while starting campaign against under age drives and vehicles having tinted glass, unauthorized evening lights and unauthorized number plates has also constituted 16 squads in this respect. Chief Traffic Officer and Senior Superintendent Police SSP Dr. Mohammad Akhtar Abbas in a handout issued here said that the campaign against vehicles having tinted glass, unauthorized number plates and evening lights has been started. During the campaign, action would also be taken against under age drivers of Public transport. 16 special squads have been constituted in this respect, he said, adding that, all the sectors incharge have been informed about the campaign. Dr. Mohammad Akhtar Abbas made it clear vehicles having tinted vehicles would not be tolerated in city and contentment areas. Directives have been issued to remove tinted Glass from vehicles and if anyone refuses to allow traffic wardens then their vehicle would be impounded in Police Station, he said. He appealed motorists to remove tinted glass, unauthorized number plates and evening lights themselves.
