CTIA WIRELESS 2007 to Host Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Presidents to Speak on Thursday, March 29 at 9:30 a.m.

WASHINGTON -- CTIA WIRELESS 2007[R], the world's largest event for the wireless industry, today announced that President George H.W. Bush and President Bill Clinton will speak on Thursday, March 29 at 9:30 a.m. at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The former presidents will appear for one hour in a joint keynote session, which will include individual remarks and a question-and-answer session.

"Our attendees expect to hear from notable leaders, industry experts and decision makers on topics of interest to the global marketplace, and we are certain our keynote audience will find the incomparable insights and perspectives of the two presidents enormously appealing."

President Bush will speak about his partnership with President Clinton, the on-going importance of community service, and the dramatic impact that companies like CTIA's members are having across the nation and around the world.

President Bush was elected as the 41st President of the United States in 1988. Since leaving office, President Bush has written two books -- "A World Transformed," co-authored with General Brent Scowcroft, which focuses on foreign policy during his administration; and "All The Best," a collection of letters written throughout his life. He has visited 56 foreign countries, most of the 50 states and has helped to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for a variety of charitable organizations. President Bush and President Clinton are the co-founders of the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, which has raised and distributed more than $100 million for victims of hurricane disasters.

President Clinton is expected to speak on issues related to globalization, including his foundation's initiative to address HIV/AIDS in a global context, and natural disaster relief.

President Clinton served two terms as president of the United States, first being elected to office in 1992. After leaving the White House, President Clinton established the William J. Clinton Foundation with the mission to strengthen the capacity of Americans and people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence. Following the 2002 Barcelona AIDS Conference, President Clinton began the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative (CHAI) to assist countries in implementing large-scale, integrated care, treatment and prevention programs that will turn the tide on the epidemic. Following Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, President Clinton and former President Bush led a nation-wide fundraising effort and established the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund to assist survivors in the rebuilding effort. This campaign was the second collaboration for the former presidents, the first being their work on relief and recovery following the Indian Ocean tsunami.
