This consortium, Computerized Thermal Imaging International, and CTI had previously announced an agreement to deploy 100 CTI breast cancer imaging units in Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies. . This initial purchase order was accompanied by a down payment of $1.75 million, with the balance due upon delivery of the systems.

 approval for use of its Computerized Thermal Imaging System in the United States as an adjunctive diagnostic test to mammography mammography, diagnostic procedure that uses low-dose X rays to detect abnormalities in the breasts.
