CTG ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER RESULTS

 BUFFALO, N.Y., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Task Group, Incorporated (NYSE: TSK) (CTG), an international Information Technology consulting firm specializing in communications and systems integration, today released its second quarter financial results for the period ended July 2, 1993.
 CTG reported revenues of $74 million, compared to $76 million of revenue in the second quarter of 1992. Pretax income for the second quarter of 1993 was $1.7 million, a $1.4 million decline from 1992's second quarter pretax income of $3.1 million. Earnings per share (EPS) were $0.09, compared to $0.17 of a year ago.
 For the first half of 1993, revenues were equal to 1992's first-half revenues of $152 million. Year-to-date 1993 pretax income was $3.5 million, compared to $6.1 million in 1992. EPS were $0.19, compared to $0.34 for the six months ended June 30, 1992.
 Commenting on the business, David Campbell, CTG's chairman and CEO, said, "This is a year of dramatic change for CTG. We realize that, although the definitions of our business have not changed, we need to have an infrastructure that promotes the delivery of our services more effectively."
 On June 21, 1993, CTG announced the retirement of John P. Courtney and the appointment of Gale S. Fitzgerald as president and chief operating officer, effective July 1, 1993. Fitzgerald is a 20-year veteran of the computer industry. Prior to joining CTG in 1991, she was vice president of professional services at International Business Machines Corp. (IBM), where she expanded IBM's professional services business into one of the most successful in the industry.
 "With Gale's appointment," Campbell added, "we are one step closer to meeting our customers' changing needs. I believe that's the key to improving our financial performance."
 During the quarter, CTG made other significant leadership changes. John E. Nale, formerly vice president, Southeast, was promoted to senior vice president responsible for the Midwest region. G. David Baer, co- founder of the company and executive vice president of quality, assumed the additional responsibility of human resource development and education. As announced in a separate press release, Richard L. Crandall, president and CEO, Comshare, Inc., joined CTG's board of directors.
 At the end of the quarter CTG signed several notable contracts including a $2 million agreement with a major international consumer products company to build a client/server-based warehouse distribution system. Additionally, the company signed a $1 million SAP consulting contract with a major textile company in Virginia.
