CTC Communications signs marketing agreement with Intermedia Communications.

 Communications Corp., (NASDAQ NMS; CPTL CPTL - Center for Trade Policy and Law (Carleton University; Ottawa, Canada)), announced today it has signed an agreement with Intermedia Communications Inc., (NASDAQ NMS; ICIX), to market ICI's frame relay data services. The non exclusive Agreement allows CTC to market and sell the full array of Frame Relay data services by Intermedia.

Intermedia Communications Inc. was founded in 1987 and is a rapidly growing eastern U.S. provider of facilities based integrated telecommunications services. It manages an extensive, fiber based high speed frame relay network serving over 1200 cities across the nation and supports the full range of frame relay services for commercial use. ICI recently introduced "Managed Router Services", a value added feature which provides frame relay customers with a total wide area network (WAN) turnkey solution throughout their network life cycle.

CTC is a leading competitive marketer of telecommunications services with an extensive array of voice, data, long distance and specialty network products and services. It specializes in the mid to large business market, is a single point of contact for their clients total communications needs, providing turnkey network solutions and ongoing customer service and account management. CTC provides these services to over 5000 business accounts, primarily in the Northeast through 20 geographically dispersed branch offices.

David Ruberg, chairman, president and CEO of ICI, stated that this agreement with CTC will significantly broaden ICI's business market coverage, especially in the Northeast where data and data networking dominate the business marketplace. He added that CTC is an experienced and growing firm with over 135 account executives, sophisticated customer service and support capabilities and a national network of value added partners. Robert Fabbricatore, chairman and CEO of CTC, stated that this agreement adds a highly desirable state of the art set of high quality Frame Relay data services to CTC's current line of local, long distance and specialty network products. He added that CTC marketed and sold over 10,000 data circuits in 1996 and Frame Relay is rapidly becoming the technology of choice for CTC's business clients.
