CTC Communications Emerges from Chapter 11 and is Acquired by Columbia Ventures Corporation.

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 2003

CTC CTC - Cornell Theory Center  Communications Group, Inc., the largest competitive local exchange carrier in New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt.  with over 10,000 customers and over 370,000 access line equivalents, announced that its Second Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization has become effective and that its acquisition by Washington-based Columbia Ventures Corporation (CVC See CSC. ) has been completed. As previously announced, the Plan was accepted by an overwhelming majority of CTC's creditors and was confirmed by the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
